# Delete your Hobbing account
You can ask us to delete your Hobbing account and the data attached to it at any time. Use the form at the bottom of this page. You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to be signed in.
## How it works

Send the form below with the email address on your account. We act within 30 days, usually within a few days, and email you when it is done.

Because anyone can type an address into a public form, the form opens a request rather than deleting anything on the spot: we confirm the address is yours first. That is also why nothing on this page tells you whether an address has an account. If you would rather write to us, support@hobbing.ai reaches the same people, with "Delete my account" in the subject.

## What deletion covers

Deleting your account removes the account and the data tied to it:

- Your sign-in account, your name, your profile photo, and the location you gave during onboarding.
- Your onboarding answers: your goal, time per week, budget, experience, and the supplies you said you already own.
- Your roadmaps and all progress on them, including finished steps, checkpoints, and points.
- Your photos, both the private ones and any you shared, which come off the community board.
- Your conversations with Daisy.
- Your saved inspiration and your collections.

## What we have to keep

Payment records are the exception. Polar is the merchant of record for Hobbing Premium, and both we and Polar have to keep a record of a transaction for tax and accounting reasons, so those records outlive the account. They are kept only as long as the law requires, and they are not used for anything else.

Counts that cannot be traced back to you, like how many people finished a stage, stay as counts. There is nothing left in them to identify.

## Cancel a subscription first

Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling, so if you have Hobbing Premium, cancel it before you ask us to delete. Open the You tab, then Membership, then Cancel subscription: one confirmation and it is done, from the app or from any browser at https://app.hobbing.ai. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access alone until the period you paid for runs out.

If the account is gone and a subscription is somehow still running, write to support@hobbing.ai and we will sort it out.

## Deleting some of it instead

You do not have to delete the whole account to get rid of something in it. In the app you can delete any photo of your work, take a shared photo off the community board while keeping it privately, delete a roadmap along with its progress, and delete a collection of saved inspiration. Each of those happens straight away and needs nothing from us.

## Your other data rights

You can also ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or get a portable copy of it. Those go to support@hobbing.ai too, on the same 30 day clock. The full policy, including who processes data for us, is at https://www.hobbing.ai/privacy.

## Request deletion

Send this and a person picks it up. You will get an email confirming it, and another when the account is gone.

To request deletion, POST `email` (and an optional `note`) as form data or JSON to https://api.hobbing.ai/api/account-deletion, or write to support@hobbing.ai from the address on the account with "Delete my account" in the subject. Both reach the same people, and neither deletes anything until we have confirmed the address is yours.
